Wa...Can don't spoil market or not? Just buy the lowest & eat other things....It's encouraging them to profit more as the increase in portion with a few dollars is very little too. $5 or $6 is a lot already as we are eating in a coolie environment.
So, verdict on AH Jie got fight with Hoe?

Some place the smallest portion eat not enough

Ah Jie one is the noodles fried still a saucy gooey texture where there is no visible sauce, but it still taste moist - think cabonara

Hoe HKM is literally wet where you can still see the noodles very distinct from the gravy, a bit like those cze char beehoon with seafood in gravy

Both are good in their own ways

First Street Fried Hokkien Mee
They belong to the First Street Fish Soup which was aqcuired by BreadTalk
Now they branch into fried HKM too
Very well balanced flavour, slightly on the wet side. Fresh crispy lard. Prawns on the small side but still fresh. Overall 4/5
